    Syiling keluaran khas dari Solomon Islands ini merupakan syiling khas memperingati  ulang tahun kelahiran ke-80 Ratu Elizabeth II ataupun nama sebenarnya Elizabeth Alexandra Mary. Baginda dilahirkan pada 21 April 1926. Banginda merupakan ratu memerintah ataupun ketua negara-negara berdaulat Komanwel seperti United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Jamaica, Barbados, the Bahamas, Grenada, Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, Tuvalu, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Belize, Antigua and Barbuda, dan Saint Kitts and Nevis serta Ketua Komanwel bagi 54 negara ahli Komanwel termasuklah Malaysia. Baginda berkahwin dengan Putera Philip, Duke of Edinburgh dan mempunyai 4 orang anak iaitu Putera Charles, Prince of Wales, Andrew, Duke of York, Edward, Earl of Wessex dan Puteri Anne, Princess Royal.

    Solomon Islands terletak di perairan Australasia. Ia mendapat kemerdekaan daripada United Kingdom pada 7 Julai 1978. Mempunyai penduduk kira-kira hanya setengah juta. Solomon Islands diperintah kerajaan raja berperlembagaan serta demokrasi berparlimen. Ibu negaranya adalah Honiara dan menggunakan matawang Dollar (SBD).

    Di muka depan terdapat lukisan gambar Ratu Elizabeth II bersama Putera Philip semasa pernikahan mereka. Di belakang mereka terdapat ilustrasi corak dan perkataan FIVE POUNDS di bawahnya serta 80 di atasnya.

    Di tengah syiling terlukis potrait ratu serta dikelilingi perkataan ELIZABETH II di kiri, SOLOMON ISLANDS di kanan serta tahun keluaran duit, 2006 di bawah. Potrait Ratu dilapisi dengan emas 24 karat.
