    United Kingdom ataupun nama panjangnya, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland terletak di barat laut Eropah. Ibu negaranya adalah London dan mempunyai kira-kira 62 juta orang penduduk yang terdiri daripada suku kulit putih Caucaisan dan Asia. Negaranya diperintah dengan sistem demokrasi berparlimen dan raja berperlembagaan. United Kingdom terbentuk selepas Anglo-Irish Treaty pada 12 April 1922. Ia menggunakan matawang Pound Sterling (GBP).


    Muka Depan

    Di tengah syiling terdapat gambar jata diraja British yang telah diguna pakai di atas syiling satu pound sejak tahun 1983 lagi. Jata diaja (Royal Arms) ini telah pun diguna oleh kerabat diraja British sejak zaman pemerintahan Ratu Victoria lagi. Di bawahnya terdapat perkataan ONE DOLLAR.

    Muka Belakang

    Di tengah syiling terdapat potrait Ratu Elizabeth II. Di atas potrait pula terdapat perkataan ELIZABETH II DG RE FD serta 1998 yang mengelilingi potrait.
